So I'm participating in FAWM, which is very cool.  I've got one song down already (good thing, since I really need to have two songs by end of day today to stay on schedule!), but I've run into a weird issue with my recording rig.

I'm using Pro Tools 7.4 through my Digi 002R.  This is mostly pretty straightforward except for one thing.  My drum tool is Strike, which sounds great but appears to have latency issues.  Basically, it doesn't play back on the 1 when recording!  So now my recording is basically off the Pro Tools tempo by about 2 1/2 beats.  That would be OK, except that when I go to bounce the track down to a mastered stereo mix, Strike plays back correctly!  So then the drums are off by 2 1/2 beats.  Very annoying.

It's not a general MIDI problem, because I recorded some B2 organ tracks using XPand and those stay right in sync with the recorded acoustic guitar.  So now I get to spend my time figuring out how to get my drums in sync!  Great...

Late Update: After screwing around with it for quite a bit, I updated Strike to 1.0.1 cs2, deleted my existing Strike track, and created a new track. Bang, it worked.  So... something in there fixed it!
